UpScale Plus-Size Clothing, Inc. opened in November of 1993 in Wheat Ridge (a suburb of Denver) when the owner got mad because she couldn't find a quality consignment shop that was dedicated to plus-size career women. When she had to hunt and hunt for better items and a better store in which to consign them, Christine simply opened her own.
UpScale Plus services exclusively plus sizes including career, casual and formal wear.
UpScale Plus has roomy dressing rooms, a warm atmosphere, friendly help and lots of carefully chosen clothing and jewelry. We'd love to help you put a "look" together. Bring in your own unmatched items and we will help you put together outfits that are flattering and fit well. You can take your time and leisurely browse through the shop or use us to help you locate a specific need. We believe in a "dress for today" approach to shopping. We want you to buy something that fits your lifestyle today and brings you lots of compliments.
At UpScale Plus-Size Clothing, you will find a large and constantly changing selection of better brand clothing just right for our lifestyle here in Colorado. From formal and cocktail wear to jean outfits, to bridal , we continue to grow with new consignors and more brands and styles.
We are 6 blocks south of I70 and Kipling St. Our cross street is 39th & Kipling St. We are east of the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center.

A little about the owner:
Christine Metzger opened UpScale Plus-Size Clothing in 1993. When she's not helping customers or shopping herself, she is reading and eating chocolates. She might enjoy the thrill of hang-gliding from her couch to her TV! But that activity is not on her current agenda. Christine has a husband and two sons, all of whom reside in Wheat Ridge. A home so close to her shop, that she actually could walk to work. But, of course, she doesn't. If she sounds like your kind of gal, come on by and say "hello."
